“i am an illustrator and art teacher, and i treat my computer desktop much like i treat my real desktop, unfortunately: as an elaborate and constantly growing system of piles, related in content and proximity to one another. just like my real desktop, i can quickly locate spatially where in the chaos a specific document is located (though no one would ever believe me). also just like my real desktop, it is off-putting slash repulsive to anyone with any semblance of logical organization to their life.”
